• ACSA offers six new networking events

Several African American Superintendents in California came together for ACSA’s first of several networking events in efforts to support our diverse membership. The purpose of the networking events is to provide a safe and supportive professional environment to address topics that are specific to our diverse leaders who share similar experiences both professionally and personally. Future networking event details will announced soon to be held for our Latino(a) Superintendents, Asian Leaders, LGBT Leaders, African American Leaders, and Latino(a) Leaders. Topics for the African American Superintendents’ networking event included supporting the pipeline to superintendency, inclusion and representation of African American leaders in the decision making process, as well as strengthening efforts to support school board relations. To support the collaborative efforts of ACSA and CAAASA, long and short term goals were established and will be followed up through future networking events and activities.
